Investor agreement for the takeover of Fachklinik Waldeck
Recura Kliniken SE and FuturaMed-Gesellschaft für modernes Management im Gesundheitswesen GmbH have signed an investor agreement with the aim of acquiring Fachklinik Waldeck in whole. This agreement is a very important step fort he successful completion of the restructuring process initiated in May 2021.

We are aware of the importance of the specialist clinic as a healthcare provider in the region. Our goal as the new operator of the clinic is to continue to live up to this responsibility and the clinic's good reputation in the future.“
“With Recura Kliniken SE, we have not only succeeded in gaining a long-term oriented partner for our restructuring concept,“ said Burkhard Jung, current managing director of Fachklinik Waldeck. “Last but not least, Recura brings extensive industry experience in the operation of specialty clinics, which will ensure the long-term success of the Schwaan site,“ added Jung, who is co-founder of the renowned restructuring consultancy “Restrukturierungspartner“.
Now, we need to implemend the final steps of the reorganization process. “The insolvency plan based on the reached reorganization agreement has already been submitted to the district court,“ says attorney Dr. Christoph Morgen, who is supporting the protective shield proceedings as administrator. “After its approval by the creditors, the proceedings can be concluded.“ Attorney Dr. Christoph Morgen comes from the law firm Brinkmann & Partner, which specializes in corporate reorganizations.
In mid-May 2021, Fachklinik Waldeck had started so-called protective shield proceedings in order to undergo fundamental restructuring under its own management and to reposition itself for the future. Since then, the management has already implemented a number of important measures to reposition the clinic and overcome the aftermath of the Corona crisis. As a result, it has been possible to comprehensively stabilize the clinic's operations. All services provided by Fachklinik Waldeck, i.e. in particular inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, were continued in full.
Managing Director Jung also emphasized the important role the employees played in the successful reorganization of the specialist clinic: “The employees stood loyally by the company throughout the entire protective shield proceedings and gave their best to make the reorganization a success. For this they deserve our thanks and recognition.“
Both parties have agreed not to disclose details of the transaction.
