Investor for Meinicke Fahrzeugservice GmbH found
Farnstädt, 29.08.2018. For the insolvent vehicle manufacturer Meinicke Fahrzeugservice GmbH the search for an investor was successfully completed. Insolvency administrator Stephan Poppe (Eckert Insolvenzrecht GbR) has sold the business operations to Hermann Schmitz GmbH with the support of Restrukturierungspartner.
Hermann Schmitz GmbH, headquartered in Wilnsdorf near Siegen, will take over the business operations - including all production facilities and 26 employees - of Meinicke Fahrzeugservice GmbH as of 1 September 2018. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Hermann Schmitz GmbH plans to reposition the company profitably and competitively. 'I am pleased that the best possible solution has been found for the company, the employees and the creditors', said insolvency administrator Poppe.
At the end of April 2018, the management of the family-owned company, which designs and produces custom-made products for vehicle construction, especially for fire-fighting and municipal vehicles, filed for insolvency due to acute financing problems. Stephan Poppe (Eckert Insolvenzrecht GbR) was appointed provisional insolvency administrator. In recent weeks, the team of experts led by Dr. Stefan Weniger and Werner Warthorst had approached a large number of national and international investors as part of a structured investor process. Intensive negotiations were conducted with various interested parties until the very end. In the end, Hermann Schmitz GmbH was able to prevail over other bidders. Like Meinicke Fahrzeugservice GmbH, the Wilnsdorf-based company produces fire-fighting vehicles and systems for fire fighting, environmental protection, rescue and communication.
„Hermann Schmitz GmbH is an investor with industry experience who wants to invest in the company and the Farnstädt location in order to further develop business operations', emphasises Werner Warthorst, who as project manager supervised the investor process.
