Restrukturierungspartner supported 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the investor process
Restrukturierungspartner assisted 1. FC Kaiserslautern in the investor process as part of its restructuring.
With the confirmation of the insolvency plan by its creditors last week, the traditional soccer club has taken another milestone towards securing its future and the insolvency proceedings in self-administration can soon be lifted.
An important element in the restructuring of 1. FC Kaiserslautern was the search for a suitable investor. The management consultancy Restrukturierungspartner assisted the parties involved in the proceedings with the selection decision in the investor process. The task of Restrukturierungspartner was to obtain, prepare, analyze and compare appropriate offers. At the meeting of the committee of creditors on July 29, the members of the body unanimously voted in favor of the offer made by a regional group of investors, as reported by 1. FC Kaiserslautern.
„We are pleased that we were able to make a small contribution to the preservation of the traditional club and keep our fingers crossed that 1. FCK and its fans will be able to celebrate many sporting victories at the Betze after regaining economic stability“, explained Dr. Robert Tobias, managing director of Restrukturierungspartner.
The restructuring of the third-league club is being supported by Dirk Eichelbaum (Eichelbaum Rechtsanwälte) as general agent and by the law firm Menold Bezler led by Dr. Frank Schäffler. Dr. Andreas Kleinschmidt (White & Case) has been appointed as administrator.
