Initial situation

Küppersbusch Großküchentechnik GmbH & Co. KG was one of the leading European suppliers of premium equipment for hotel, food service, catering and community catering industries. The company was increasingly suffering from a noticeable market weakness in important key markets. In June 2013, an insolvency application was filed in order to restructure Küppersbusch Großküchentechnik under protective shield proceedings.

Services

Restrukturierungspartner accompanied and advised Küppersbusch Großküchentechnik GmbH & Co. KG during the six month protective shield proceedings. Dr. Stefan Weniger complemented the existing management board as restructuring managing director (CRO) during the proceedings and was responsible for planning and implementing the restructuring.

Negotiations with creditors

Communication with stakeholders

Preparation of a restructuring concept for the continuation of the company in the protective shield proceedings

Implementation of restructuring measures

Plan monitoring including comprehensive controlling and detailed liquidity planning.

Within only six months, Küppersbusch Großküchentechnik was successfully restructured and repositioned for the future. The site in Gelsenkirchen as well as a large proportion of workplaces were retained.
