Initial situation

Lüneburger Eisenwerk GmbH was a foundry of, amongst others, components for the automotive industry in the field of grey and ductile iron casting. Due to imminent insolvency, the management had filed an application for the opening of insolvency proceedings at the Lüneburg District Court.

Services

Restrukturierungspartner supported the insolvency administrator in developing and implementing operational restructuring measures primarily in the areas of logistics and cost accounting. At the same time, a structured investor process accounted for by Restrukturierungspartner was set up in November of 2017. After initial negotiations with potential investors from Germany and abroad, final negotiations with the Ogepar Group from Luxembourg were concluded. Restrukturierungspartner were responsible for:

• Purchase contract negotiations with investors
