Initial situation

The Starz Gruppe (Kehrel AG) was a producer of small series of cable harnesses as well as control and central electrical systems for the wiring systems of special vehicles and machines. The management of the companies had to file applications for the opening of insolvency proceedings at the Cottbus District Court due to impending insolvency.

In order to find a suitable investor for the business operations, Restrukturierungspartner were commissioned to conduct a structured bidding process.

Services

At the end of the bidding process Starz GmbH was sold to ATLAS GmbH. The other companies that belonged to the Starz Gruppe but were not affected by the insolvency were also sold to an investor.

Restrukturierungspartner were responsible for the coordination of the transaction process and supported the insolvency administration in various business management issues, which were part of the M&A service package due to the complexity of the process. These included:
