Initial situation

Wefers Gebäudetechnik GmbH, specialised in building services, in particular heating, sanitation, cooling and ventilation had filed for the opening of insolvency proceedings in self-administration with the Cologne District Court due to impending insolvency.

Restrukturierungspartner were commissioned to conduct a structured bidding process to find a suitable investor for the business operations. Due to the specific conditions in the construction industry, a process with the highest time prioritisation was necessary.

In a six-week investor process, two binding offers were obtained. In the end, Wefers Gebäudetechnik GmbH was sold to the strategic investor ZECH GROUP. Restrukturierungspartner were responsible for coordinating the transaction process. This included:
