Initial situation

Due to clear weaknesses in its positioning and because essential criteria for success in the discount business were not met, Woolworth KG's turnover was in sharp decline. Due to increasing losses, the company filed for insolvency proceedings in April 2009.

Services

Restrukturierungspartner supported the company with business management advice in the context of insolvency preparation (including asset status in accordance with § 153 InsO, integrated planning for possible filings for insolvency and reorganised business operations as well as the presentation of restructuring in the context of insolvency proceedings). Furthermore, a concept for a reorganised Woolworth (Woolworth NewCo) was prepared and the rough concept was refined in a bottom-up planning.
